Happiness is the Source


Hey,

I made and gathered some of daily happiness quotes to brighten your day and move your mindset in a positive direction.

Easy to Communicate 4

How's your day? Start your day with a smile and end your day with a smile, life is happiness : )

I want to tell you about the last part of easy communicate. The last part is part of visual, it called Body Language. Believe me, body language can determined whether you are confident or want to disappear from the crowd. Use the right body language when you're communicating with someone else.

Some of the weak body language, biting and picking your nails is always weak. fidgeting, putting hands in pockets, rubbing arms, touching legs, stick thumb inside of closed fist, whenever you notice this stuff happening - Stop it!!

Some of the confident body language, palms pointed towards each other like you're holding a basketball, fingertip to fingertip, thumb outside of closed fist, flashing your wrist and showing palms to people.

Knowing which side of a person's body is more comfortable for them, and which side makes them uneasy, can make a really effective body language. Always start by putting on your good side for 30 seconds to 2 minutes to determine is it compatible, then put the person on your negative side and see how they change. Observe how a person acts around others to figure out their side.
Good side cues:
  • Normal tone of voice
  • No additional filler words like ummm, errr, etc
  • Three power zone are open (Throat, Belly button, and lower body)
Remember some of this step to approach people:
  • Ensure a strong introduction, make other person remember you name, introduce using the pause, punch, pause, punch method of " Hello, my name is ... Emir ... Zakiar." Don't forget to smile.
  • Treat everyone with respect - don't talk down to anyone
  • Make the connection genuine, take your time.
  • Get them talking - ask open ended question and get them talking. 
  • Be and informant - share something personal about yourself - be up front and honest about whatever situation they are about to be in (If possible).
  • Use touch carefully and only when you are making a positive point, just a little touch but remember not every person want to get touch.
  • Nod attentively, just enough to make them know that you are interest with their story.
  • Be adaptable
  • Keep moving - depending on the situation, keep people moving at round and seeing different places with you - the environment changes give them more memories and seem to know you more - as if you were friends longer.

That's all the simple way to communicate with a stranger or with someone you know. Try to learn it and use it in everyday life, if you're afraid when approaching someone then use this simple method:
Tactical breathing:
  1. Breath in nose for 4 count, filling lower belly.
  2. Hold breath for 4 seconds.
  3. Exhale through whistle like lips for 4 counts.
  4. Say in your mind "I'm Great" 5 times.
  5. Hold your breath for a count of 4 and repeat it for 4 sets
Communication is one of the crucial part of everyday life, in terms of education, family, lifestyle, business, marketing, sales, teaching, talking, doing speech, buying, selling, many things. So why you're afraid of communicating with others?

Easy to Communicate 3

How's your day, I hope it full of happiness.. Always smile to start and when you want to end the day. It help you ease the trouble in your heart.

I want to continue about the communication skill that I already wrote in this blog. The next thing you need to apply when you communicate is your vocal.

Vocal play a big part in terms of communicate with other people, sometimes misunderstanding happens because of the different intonation we use when talking to other people. Have you ever talked to someone who you adore but suddenly you fell the person is a jackass because He or She using an arrogant intonation to you?

Try this simple exercise, you just need to stand in a mirror and say "You drive me crazy"
use that phrase but with different intonation:
  1. Angry
  2. Brave
  3. Happy
  4. Humble
  5. Calm
Can you spot the difference between one and another intonation?
Can you also notice how your body changed for each attitude? How our voice altered each time you changed your attitude? When you adjust your attitude round other people, they pick up the same feelings you have and begin to experience them for themselves. How much sense does it make to be angry or impatient when you want to make a good first impression? How much better to be excited or warm?

Your intonation make your body react exactly like your intonation. Can you imagine when you want to make a conversation but ended up fail because you are using the wrong intonation? What a loss.
Use the right intonation with different person, if the person you're having a conversation is someone who talked slowly then try to talk slowly, get along with the rhythm.When the person talk fast, try to adjust your conversation with a fast one. This trick can make the person feel the bound between Him/Her to you.

Easy to Communicate 2



Hey,

It's quite a long time since the last I made a post. Really sorry, it's because I had some project and I'm so blessed that the project run smoothly. Thanks to God for this project.

So what's about your self? do you have a great time in this couple of days? I hope so, I pray for your happiness.

I want to talk about the first thing you need to know about "Easy to communicate". The first thing you need to know in order to initiate a conversation is "What do you want to know?"
What do you want to know from the one you make conversation with, is it about work, about traveling, about having fun, about family, about new opportunity, about education, anything. But you need to know what is the subject of the conversation.

If you have a hard time initiating the first step, then I have some tricks to do:

  1. Smile while you approaching the person you want to have a conversation. Make an open body language, it will make them see that you mean no harm to them. This is the most important thing. In here, the person will make a quick judgment about yourself whether you're a good person or a bad person.
  2. Ask about something general, like weather, time, matchstick (if you're a smoker), the more general the subject then the more easy to initiate a conversation. You will need this to break the ice between you and Him/Her/Them.
  3. After you ask the general subject, the next step you can ask about the "What do you want to Know" You must ask first, and let them speak more. Use this "5W1H rule" For example:
    • You are an owner of an Italian restaurant in a busy street around the business district. Because you are a new player in that location, you want to know how the customer think with the food and the concept of the restaurant. You can smile and say "Hi I am .......... (put your name in here), I am the owner of this restaurant and I want to make a short and simple questionnaire from you:
      • What do you think about the concept of the restaurant?
      • Where do you usually go out?
      • Why you choose this menu?
      • When did the last time you eat a great Italian food?
      • How did the food taste? Do you like it?
Do you recognize in here that I don't use "Who" above. You need to be flexible when comes to conversation, Don't be to strict with the rule, it's only a tool to make you easy to initiate a conversation. Remember don't push the person with some difficult question that can make them feel uncomfortable.

4.  Make them talk by asking question, Conversation is like playing tennis, you hit the ball and the other  person will hit it back. Make this one of the rule in conversation. If you see that the person you ask seems not comfortable then you can say, "it's nice to having a little chat with you" then find another person to have a new conversation.

Try the tricks above, practice it, and make the action with it. I mean try to initiate a conversation with other person, for the first time you can have a conversation with someone you know, then after that you can try to have initiate a conversation with a stranger or your boss.

We all the human, don't be afraid when it comes to initiate a conversation, if you have a hard time talking to your superior, try to imagine that the superior is wearing an informal clothes. Say "I'm Great" five times in your thought and smile.

Easy to Communicate


Hey,

Do you know that study tell 70% of mistake in workplace are direct result of poor communication? a lot of people have a great deal difficulties when comes to communicate with others. I have a friend who really smart and have a deep analysis with His subject but have a bad communication, he hardly tell his boss about his idea. Because He's afraid to communicate, he didn't tell his boss about the idea. Do you have a friend like this?

Everything we do is communication, you want to buy groceries, you want to ask your teacher, pay for ticket parking, asking for money, have fun with friends, chatting with your family, meeting with business partner, talking to your children, even when you make love with your love ones hehehe
So why many people seems like being dragged to hell  when it come to communicate in front of people?

Cause of communication difficulties are:
  • Lack of information and knowledge
  • Not explaining priorities or goals properly
  • Not Listening
  • Not understand fully and fail to ask question
  • Mind made up, preconceived ideas  
  • Not understand others' needs
  • Not thinking clearly, jumping into conclusion
  • Bad mood
  • Failure to explore alternatives
 Do you know what will happen if fail to communicate?

  • Loss of business
  • Mistake cause inefficiencies 
  • Lowered productivity
  • Poor coordination and cooperation
  • Damaged personal or company image
  • Frustation and can make hostility
  • Dissatisfaction to others
  • Lowered morale
  • Loss of team spirits
  • Conflict and argument
  • Loss of Friendship
I have two friend that used to be best friends, two woman with spirit like "best friends forever", but because of failure in communicate between each others now they become hostile towards each others. It so sad, and it happened because of miss-communication.

Communication is two-way street, we have to give as well as gather. Don't forget, we communicate to get information, motivate, give advice, chatting, greet, sell, praise etc.

So try to learn how to communicate easily, communication consist of three basic things:
  1. Verbal, The massage that we deliver. We must have a clear information about what we want to deliver. Is it about business, traveling, education, happiness, etc
  2. Vocal, The voice that we convey, people tend to hear the voice intonation then the massage. Try to say I'm Hungry in different kind of mood (Happy, Sad, Angry, etc) You will find the difference between intonation
  3. Visual, Our body language, Believe me, this is the most important things in communication. Almost 80% people make a judgment by it's cover. Even though it's wrong but we live in this kind of world so adapt to it or vanished. Using a fit clothes, clean shoes, nice hair, some perfume, brighter face, smile (this is really important), and you can become a chameleon in here. After that using a good body language to get the attention.

Brainstorming not Debating

How's life? I hope it's great and full of Happiness. We live to be happy, right? I have a great business going on now, I make a business strategic for a new company in Indonesia. I move along with my passion in strategic and marketing. Do you move along with your passion?

I want to talk about brainstorming, do you know what kind of creature is it? Brain storming is a way to solve a problem, we share our thought with people in the team about solving the problem. Brainstorming is a process for developing creative solutions to problems. Brainstorming works by focusing on a problem, and then deliberately coming up with as many solutions as possible and by pushing the ideas as far as possible. One of the reasons it is so effective is that the brainstormers not only come up with new ideas in a session, but also spark off from associations with other people's ideas by developing and refining them. In here we learned to say what we think and learn to know new knowledge.

There are four basic rules in brainstorming (Osborn, 1963) intended to reduce social inhibitions among team members, stimulate idea generation, and increase overall creativity:
  • No criticism: Criticism of ideas are withheld during the brainstorming session as the purpose is on generating varied and unusual ideals and extending or adding to these ideas. Criticism is reserved for the evaluation stage of the the process. This allows the members to feel comfortable with the idea of generating unusual ideas.
  • Welcome unusual ideas: Unusual ideas are welcomed as it is normally easier to "tame down" than to "tame up" as new ways of thinking and looking at the world may provide better solutions.
  • Quantity Wanted: The greater the number of ideas generated, the greater the chance of producing a radical and effective solution.
  • Combine and improve ideas: Not only are a variety of ideals wanted, but also ways to combine ideas in order to make them better.
why new knowledge?

This is the difference between brainstorming and debating. In brainstorming, we tend to learn many thing from the team or the people to solve the problem. We can give our thought about something and we can get new knowledge from others. In debating, we tend to win the subject without solving the problem. A lot of debating only shows the ego of the speaker, they only tell the good one and reject any advice from the other speaker, it a shame. You won't get anything from debating, trust me.

Brainstorming can be useful not only in business, you can do brainstorming in family circle (for example, choose the next holiday place, you can have a brainstorming with your wife, husband, son, daughter, parents), you can do brainstorming with your friends (for example, choosing where you want to hangout in the next Saturday night). You can solve many things from brainstorming. People who like to do a brainstorming have a growth mindset. When did the last time you have a brainstorming with your peer, partner, boss, friends, family?

Your life can be much better if you can solve many problem that happen in your life. Brainstorming is one of the tools to make it easier when you want to solve a problem or many problems. Put aside your ego and try to learn new things.
